To assist in geotechnical assessments of lowest part of the Au-Pb-Zn ore, a program was launch aiming to obtain in-situ data and core samples.
Triple-tube core drilling with core orientation and geotechnical logging was provided to the client. Core orientation data acquisition was powered by DeviCore system made by Devico. Optical/acoustic televiewer imaging was also provided in a partnership with Fugro, Austria.
Selected core samples were further tested in the geotechnical laboratory to determine crucial geotechnical parameters: uncofined compression strength, Yound Modulus and Poission Ratio, point load stress, triaxial test (single stage) and Brazilian.
Complicated project combining a number of in-situ techniques: core orientation, optical/acoustic televiewer imaging and gyroscopic downhole survey.
