  • Client :TERNA Magnesites
  • Location :Greece
  • Year launched :2021
  • Status :Finished
  • Value :1.0 M€
  • Drilled :1,000 meters

Project Description

The project included data collection though drilling, geotechnical logging and field mapping to support Bobakas open pit geotechnical assessment. One (1) surface drilling rig and our experienced geological took over data collection and analysis.

Project Challenge

Slope stability and open pit requires special attention to avoid failure during mining.

  • Oriented drilling and core analysis
  • Weak zone identification and measurements proposal

RESULTS

A rockmass classification scheme was shaped. Pit design was confirmed for its slope stability and protective measurements were suggested to avoid failure in the identified weak zones.
